Aclat Meadows is situated in the Western Ghats near Sakleshpur town (36 Kilometers drive from Sakleshpur Town), Hassan District. Western Ghats also known as Sahyadri (Benevolent Mountains) is a mountain range that runs parallel to the western coast of the Indian peninsula, located entirely in India. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the eight "hottest hot-spots" of biological diversity in the world It is sometimes called the Great Escarpment of India. The area is one of the world's ten "Hottest biodiversity hotspots" and has over 7,402 species of flowering plants, 1,814 species of non-flowering plants, 139 mammal species, 508 bird species, 179 amphibian species, 6,000 insects species and 290 freshwater fish species; it is likely that many undiscovered species live in the Western Ghats. At least 325 globally threatened species occur in the Western Ghats. Walk away and just take a break. You deserve it! At Aclat Meadows we provide basic Accommodation facilities devoid of worldly comforts. The comforts we provide are to connect you to nature, pristine beauty and serenity. Of course, we have beds and mattresses in rooms, sleeping bags in tents etc. Our food is the local cuisine cooked using wood. We do not use commercial cooking ideas to keep our cooking simple. If you are looking for Chinese, you have come to the wrong place. What we serve is authentic Malnad food. Your stay at Aclat Meadows is not just limited to spending time at the place; But you could also plan and combine your trip to Manjarabad Fort, Bisle Reserve Forest, Jenukallu Gudda, Mallalli falls, Kukke Subramanya, and also plan a trek on the green route, which are located just few kilometres from Aclat meadows. Since Aclat Meadows is located in a remote area, phone calls and internet cannot be accessed (We recently installed a signal booster in our property though), it is advised to make all important calls before reaching the property.
